Finance Administrator/Bookkeeper

Autism Partnership & Behaviour Therapy and Learning Centre are agencies dedicated to providing behaviour intervention and educational programming for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, and their families. Specializing in the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Teaching, we believe in comprehensive intervention/programming designed to meet the unique, individual needs of each child we work with.

AP provides predominately home-based services devoted to enhancing overall quality of life through treatment focused upon the development of improved communication and social skills, self-help and adaptive functioning skills, play and leisure skills, physical and motor development, cognitive abilities, and behaviour.

BTLC is dedicated to developing and providing, in collaboration with parents and specialists, dynamic individualized program plans (IPP) that meet the needs of each individual child that attends our school program.

Job Overview:

Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping and payroll, the Finance Administrator/Bookkeeper will satisfy the needs of this role within both companies.

Position:

1 Full Time Position Available
Full time: Monday to Friday daytime; 35-40 hrs/wk

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Full cycle accounting experience including invoicing, account follow up, vendor payments, GST filing, payroll, CRA remittances and T4 preparation
  • Experience with payroll and knowledge about legislation pertaining to the role
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Financial analysis and financial report preparation
  • Excellent knowledge of Quicbooks Online Accounting Package
  • Alberta Education budget preparation and payment tracking
  • Advising management on financial business decisions
  • Experience in a similar role with both profit-centered and charitable organizations preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy
  • Previous experience with casino reporting to the provincial government would be an asset
  • General office tasks as required

Want to make a difference? Join our Board of Directors and help take our program to the next level! We currently have various Board positions available, depending on your area of interest. We are looking for people who:
  • Can attend meetings from 5:30pm - 7:30pm once per month
  • Are able to volunteer 10 additional hours per month towards Board initiatives
  • Have community, corporate and/or government networking capabilities
  • Have skills or experience with any of the following:

    • public relations
